DoTD Winrates

Top: Franks
Bottom: Malay

From what you see here the Cumans buff helped them, the Sicilians also improved a bit but still below average from what I see, and ofc the same bottom and top civs

It’s almost like nerfing lithuanians by removing blast furnace wasn’t the way to go if you actually wanted to slow them down…

Well they still holds a 51,?’’% winrate, probably that removal wasn’t even effective to Hybrid Maps.

It’s almost like they should have nerfed the food bonus instead.

Exactly…
Meanwhile Franks top as always

No. That would be terrible. The super drush is too cool for that. :sob:

The super Drush isn’t good, is all in all strat that put you way behind unless you are Viper or Hera lol
Also in Hybrid Maps they are outright too strong, Hera gave them S tier just because the HC featured a lot of Hybrid Maps

It doesn’t put you that far behind if you do it even passably well. That’s kind of the idea. Also, Lithuanians are really fun to play, and it would be sad if they got changed. Even if you just camp their boar and play normally, it’s still a psychological edge, and you only wasted 175 wood.

But is a good strategy? why then MBL, Jordan, Viper or Hera never used them at any tournament?

Yes they are quite fun to play, but several people hated (or were incompetent lol) to get relics because of that 22 attack paladin (which weren’t that strong as many people wanted it to be), now they are outright much weaker in TG, while the greatly overrated Franks are still here free to roam…

You only wasted 175 wood and your only eco bonus…

Because money. And risky strat.

Probably this ^

Exactly! Lol.

Would be nice to see 1800+ win rates… Not that 1200+ does not matter but it is out of my current meta (in particular cav civs are always stronger in lower elos. Not sure how much impact the Arabia change done on mid elos)

So in spite of the occasional complaints, Poles are perfectly balanced and Bohemians might be underpowered.

good â– â– â– â– , i think all things considered, most civs are balanced rn. only thing that stands out to me are portugese and franks. malay i dont think is weak, just not easy to play and thats why its at the bottom.

I wouldn’t give too much credit to these winrates, they mostly come from a version of arabia that it’s likely going to get tweaked.

What they show in my opinion is that the game is well balanced for ladder, with almost every civ in the 45-55 area and with the civs in the lowest end being arena/water powerhouses held back in winrates by the fact that arabia has much more playrate.

Bohemians are really probelamric designed. They are almost zero bonus civ in dark age and feudal age, and even in Castle their bonuses are relatively minor until you mass mine, and get monk tech etc.

This pushed their winrste down especially on Arabia with their horrible cav

But in imperial age when everything comes together they become super strongest, especially on black forest or arena.

Not a fan of civ design that balance a broken imperial age with a underpowered ealy game.

I for one, am happy to see Portuguese back to their rightful blace at the bottom…since it opens talks for furthers buffs.
Hlpefully they fixed the broken arquehus UT, this time not working on bombard towers

If teutons are this high on Arabia, how good are they on arena?

The civ needs a nerf. And was over buffed, I have been saying the same thing ever since:

Better reshuffle the armor bonuses to +1 meele armor for cav and infstry starting in feudal age (and no later increases)
This front loads it to an age ealeor to buff their esley game further, keeps castle same, but nerfs their imp where their were even food before this civ bonus.

Or change it to +2/+3 meele armor to siege in castle/imp and then in turn change the ironclat UT to give +1 meele armor to siege, infstry and cavalry.

Could also revert the farm buff they did in de and return to the AoC farm discount.

And Sicilians are not OP.
Impossible! Must be some conspiracy!
