Some elements of the Editor mainly the Lighting Editor and Model Viewer haven’t been translated into the other languages the game supports, is this planned to be addressed in the future? Putting it in as a bug because I assume it is for the time being. (example image is using the Swedish version of the game for demonstration purposes).
Why this is a concern:
I believe that the Editor should be fully localised (if possible) for accessibility and usability reasons. Not everyone knows or are that proficient in English and a lot of the Editor elements are already localised.
Repro Steps:
Launch the game in any of the supported languages and start the Editor, most of the Editor elements are translated including every single “Grey” window.
Open either the Lighting Editor or Model Viewer elements, they will be in English only.
Yes, I’m a player from China. I’ve written out all the English source text for the triggers and used AI translation to create a table for reference whenever I work with triggers. It would be really great if the editor could be localized, although I frankly doubt the development team would put effort into this—they already have too many unresolved issues piling up.
If we are talking about the model viewer, well it’s for modding purposes and the game code is in english so it isn’t that important.
For triggers though I’m surprised they are not translated and they absolutely should be indeed, because in this case it’s for a more casual scene and everyone should be able to do scenario.
I was just giving the Model Viewer as an example of one of the aspects that aren’t translated, I do not expect that particular part of the Editor to be localised for the reasons you’ve outlined(there are a few other places including the Lighting Editor). The Trigger window has inconsistent localisation applied to it as well. Every trigger is in English and the Linked Triggers window is not translated either, the rest of the trigger menu items are (including the name for “Triggers” in the drop down menu).
