I’m creating a very large map in the AoE II: DE Scenario Editor. It’s a purely visual project, and once it’s finished I’d love to export the entire map as a high-resolution image, possibly to print it.
I know that the old full-map screenshot shortcut (Ctrl+F12) no longer works in the HD Edition or Definitive Edition. I’ve also tried CaptureAge, but it doesn’t preserve the visual quality and effects I want. Taking many screenshots and stitching them together isn’t practical for a map of this size either.
Has anyone working on large visual maps found another way to obtain a complete image at a resolution suitable for printing? I’d be interested in hearing about approaches you’ve actually tried.
