Egyptian monuments are granting unintended favor upon construction

Issue:

Egyptian monuments (monument to villagers, monument to soldiers etc) are giving unintended favor immediately upon construction, this is valid for all egyptian major gods. For example, as soon as a Monument to Villagers is built in a ranked match, the egyptian player will instantly earn 2 favor once the monument is completed and as far as I know this is not intended. It is even more noticeable when building stronger monuments, gaining 4+ favor immediately as they are built.

I tried deleting the monuments and rebuilding and I was able to reproduce the issue.

Trigger Event:

Build any monument with any egyptian god in a ranked, unranked or against AI match and some unintended favor will be granted immediately as the construction is completed. (it is not related to the usual small favor trickle these monuments provide over time per design).

Repro Steps:

  1. Build any egyptian monument in a ranked, unranked or vs. AI match;
  2. It will happen once after construction is completed and can be replicated multiple times by deleting and rebuilding the monument.

Hmm if this scales with monument size it may be an intended change left out of the patch notes.

With my testing egypt is gaining 2 favor after building the Monument to Vills; 2~3 favor when building each of the Monuments to Soldiers and Priests; around 4 favor when building Monument to Pharaoh and around 6 favor after building Monument to Gods. These numbers sometimes vary a little bit but yeah you gain increasing favor numbers the higher tier of the monument you build.

I’m assuming it is a bug since this change was not announced by the devs, but if this is intended devs need to make it abudantly clear in a patch notes. Thanks for your collaboration

I can confirm it’s not intended, in the game files nothing indicates it should do that

I think something like this also happens if you construct a wonder - you are immediatelly granted a hefty amount of favor. I dont think its intended and I havent seen that happen in earlier patches.
