Eliminate animal luring chores from the game!

It’s a strategy game, not a tedious animal luring chore. Just make all of them unpushable.

Giving the players “when to mill them, where to place the mill, and how many villagers to send to gather the food” is the correct way to enhance strategic variety instead of forcing them to lure deers, foxes, or funnel chickens.

To make milling more worthwhile, you can simply add more deers, chickens, or foxes if needed. But first, this animal luring chore has to go.

Would it also include removing luring for boars & equivalents ?

Stop removing complexity from the game. More complexity widens the skill gap between casuals and pros, which is a good thing.

I don’t have a strong opinion about boar and their equivalents. They can stay as they are.

I’m afraid to really disagree against removing such a historical, key part of the game. Yes, it’s not grand strategy, but that’s the idea of the Dark Age, to get the economy going and gain small, noticeable advantage. One of the reasons why I dislike that buildings can ‘hunt’ animals now…

If you play Armenians, you don’t need to Lure. Build two Mule Carts and go to the Boars and deer. Use the mule cart to interfere with the boar.

Just make them unpushable and give me choices like when to mill them, whether I should even mill them, and how many villagers to send, etc., instead of forcing me to do this meaningless, repetitive chore.
