Issue:
Elk and caribou appear in the Temple of the Jaguar Moon map, even though neither species ranges into the Central American rainforest AFAIK.
Repro Steps:
Play the “Temple of the Jaguar Moon” map.
Elk did live in Mexico during Aztec times but caribou are jarringly out of place, as are chickens and aurochsen. I’m pretty generous about the liberties taken with wildlife in this game. I don’t mind that a lot of the African animals that spawn on Egyptian maps do not range as far north as Egypt, or that a lot of the Latin American animals don’t live as far north as the Aztec empire. I’d even be able to forgive bison in place of Aurochsen because their historic range also extends into Mexico. But animals from the Arctic and Eurasia really strain my willing suspension of disbelief.
