Whatever happen to that series and those games? Anyone know of any place that still talks about them?

Well, EE came up a fair bit during the lead up to AOE: DE, and the initial speculations over what AOE 4 might end up being like. As far as it’s current standing though, well… GOG sells the series, and they’ve got a forum for it, but beyond that, not much? EE was always kind of seen as the second cousin of AOE (RON having overtaken EE despite it coming out after the first one). Doesn’t help that both EE 1 and 2 look ugly as sin today…

Such a shame. I put EE in yesterday and I had some fun with it. Not Rise Of Nations fun but it still wasn’t as bad as I thought it was.
