thank you for mention that. i didn’t say it cuz after the new patch, the tower got nerfed hardly, now it can be easily take down with bunch of spearmen.
but still a problem for sure, i v seen some english player build proxy barrack instead of tower as the first building now, and they just leave 1 man at arm in your wood line, 1 on your gold mine. you need to at least spent 2 towers resource to get rid of it. and also you have to deal with their range villager at same time. which gives players really bad game experience.

yeah, they have too much defense bonuses and is too easy to win games as english. If they are a defensive civ they should be weak at offense and economy, but they have good aggression and good economy. Please nerf.
yes, but they are the civ more picked by noobs so they should have the lowest winrate. They don’t because a lot of noobs still win with them, they are just too easy to win with.
If that was the case they would have the highest win rate in diamond+, but that is not the case.
The only thing i dislike about them is the super early villager tower rush they have, apart from that the civ is fine. Their late game is pretty insane right now, but I still wouldnt say its op
