My opponnent only spammed Kuafu which he then used to spam build camps and academies around my base with towers faster then I could counter-act and the Kuafu tore down all my buildings and shredded my soldiers and villagers like they were nothing.

I watched out of curiosity. This is definitely a cheese strat, but you could have easily won, you almost had it in the beginning, it came down to poor decision making. I get that it might be demoralising getting all these buildings in your face so early, but it’s incredibly expensive for him to do that.

  • the main thing — you were simply not building any units, so you couldn’t take down the kuafu, instead at one point you even drop down not one but two armories with a bunch of vils, that move made no sense. A far better call would have been another barracks to get the units out quicker.
  • you had the right idea to use the your vils, they have a bonus vs towers, you should have used the vils to kill the buildings and units to kill the kuafu
  • of all the units to build you were building the worst one — the axeman. The opponent wasn’t building any units, so spearmen would have been the best choice for the higher DPS vs buildings and more speed to catch out the kuafu.

A general tip, try to advance a bit sooner, like 4:15/20 ish at the latest to give you a leg up, any super late advance is going to be very tough against any agression cheese or not, unless you know exactly why you’re advancing that late.

I was kinda panicking so I wasn’t thinking straight. I also build 3 Armories so I can get all 3 upgrades at once

Yeah, I get it, first time facing these kind of strats can be confusing.

No point in getting armory upgrades if you don’t have an army. Getting an upgrade for 5-6 units is a waste of resources. (You were also researching a spearmen unique tech while not having any spearmen).

One of his military camps with a tower costs him 250 resources. In the beginning when you still had a chance he had 5, which is 1250 resources!! That gives you 16 spearmen !! If you had 16 spearmen + 5-6 vils to quickly shank down the towers you would have easily defended. This is not to mention the enormous loss of resources doing it with 3 kuafu…
