I have noticed the game crashes with the below error in Event Viewer on windows 10
My pc config is as below

Other consisten error ihave seen is a disk fault error which keeps on occuring while we play the age of empires game and this seems to be due to the virtual disk file created for each game installed using xbox app in windows 10.
An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR2 during a paging operation.
Goldeniee:
Harddisk2
Did you install AOE4 in HDD?
If so, it is getting old and needs to be checked.
You can optimize it too.
And with such configuration why you would install your games on HDD???
You need SSD for your OS (D).
Installing games on HDD slows down the game, causes crashes and decreases performance xD
Its a 1TB Samsung Pro 980 NVME SSD
Because this is not the game but your computer.
Try verifying the game files.
What is your RAM?
Have you enabled a paging file?
He clearly listed 32GB of ram above
ram capacity isn’t an issue here
Ah he just said 32GB I didn’t know what he was referring to lol
Yeah not sure then it should run fine I have much lower specs than that.
so do i, imo 16GB should be plenty

Same Issue for me, 4 times in a row now, straight to desktop.
This is the first day of these crashes, never had an issue up till today.

Going to reinstall the game, I’ll post back if anything changes.
Edit…
Still closes to desktop after reinstall
Ok Anyone who is having the sudden crash of error 0xc0000005 should try the following.
Restart your PC
Boot into BIOS
Find bifurcation setting which should be under pci express
Change it from Auto to 8x8
At least this should fix for Gigabyte motherboards
