I know I am being late for this trend but……Happy Valentine Guys! Also…as we have already face with Demeter’s DLC… There maybe some of the DLC things that maybe out of our expectations… So I thought, I can cheer us up with this new fanart of “Chinese Civ” Dlc
Today I want to present, the new things in my explanation about Gods, mythical creatures and their mythology… I present
"CHINESE CIV 4TH MAJOR GOD"
In this civ, I present to you 3 new Gods that available to this New Major God of Chinese Civ
Major God : Shang Di (Supreme Ruler of Chinese Mythical Heaven) (上帝)
Explanation : He is known in Chinese mythology as supreme creator of the Universe that is also the creator of Heavenly Bureaucrat (organization structure that ease his task governing the universe)
In ancient beliefs, Shang Di was not just a creator but the supreme governor of the universe. He was the head of a massive celestial hierarchy that included:
Nature Spirits: He commanded the gods of wind, rain, and thunder.
Ancestors: Deceased kings were believed to reside in his court, acting as intermediaries between the living and the supreme god.
Human Fate: He decided the success of harvests, the outcome of battles, and the health of the emperor.
The Shift to “Tian” (Heaven)
When the Zhou Dynasty overthrew the Shang, they shifted the focus from a personal god (Shang Di) to a more abstract concept called Tian (天, “Heaven”).They introduced the Mandate of Heaven (Tianming), arguing that Shang Di/Tian was not loyal to one family but to virtue.If a ruler became corrupt, Shang Di would lwithdraw the “Mandate” and grant it to a more worthy leader. This transition turned the “myth” of a family god into a moral and political philosophy.
For Classic, I present :
Zhao Gong Ming (God of Wealth) (趙公明)
Explanation : Zhao Gong Ming is the formidable Military Wealth God of Chinese mythology, typically depicted as a dark-faced general riding a black tiger who leads the Five Directions Wealth Gods to bestow fortune and protect businesses from harm…in Investiture of the Gods event, he is being killed by Zhang Jiya (the Hermit Sage of Zhou Dynasty) by cursing him and stab his soul using straw doll that resemble him in the left and right eyes spot,also in heart spot of the straw doll that instantly make him die,after that he being canonized as God of Wealth who secured all wealth belong to the righteous and punish the lazy by taking it from them all
For Heroic, I present :
Lei Gong (God of Thunder) (雷公)
Explanation : He is known as Chinese Thunder God whose appearance resemble a bird man with feather of black, have bird beak, wear Chinese general’s army armor and always bring his thunder chisel and drum for striking the lightning to his target that also known as God of Justice as his job decreed by the Heaven is to strike any malevolent people who do ill biddings with his thunder
For Mythic, I present :
Yu Qiang (God of Winter and Disease) (禺强)
Explanation : Yu Qiang is known as God of Winter and Disease in Chinese mythology and is grandson of Huang Di (Yellow Emperor who is Mythic Age God of Chinese Civ) who being tasked by Yu Di (Jade Emperor) to tether the Penglai Islands of Immortals with his 15 Ao (mythical half giant turtle in body, half dragon in head) creatures so the Immortals who live there will not be affected and be separated by island’s shiftness and breaking apart (there are 5 Islands)
For this 4th Major God of Chinese, I recommended these Gods assignment as follow :
Major God : Shang Di (Supreme Ruler of Chinese Mythical Heaven)
Classic Age : Xuannu (Qilin), Zhao Gong Ming (Shi Lions)
Heroic Age : Gou Mang (Zhao Wu), Lei Gong (Lei Niao)
Mythic Age : Huang Di (Hundun), Yu Qiang (Wu Shaman and KunPeng)
Heroes for this 4th Major God Chinese civ are 2 units :

Fu Hao (Classic Age)
Explanation : Wife of Emperor Wu Ding who ruled Shang Dynasty in 1250 - 1200 BCE. She also serve as general of thousand troops and as priestess of polytheistic religionship with Shang Di as its central God. -
Shen Gong Bao (Heroic Age)
Explanation : Chan sect Taoist immortal who learn from Yuanshi Tianzun (The Heavenly Primogenitor) on Mount Kunlun and archrival of Jiang Ziya (the elder and wise fishermen sage, hero of Zhou dynasty of China’s history)
