Which Civilization did you like playing the most in AoE II and why, what do you found signficant???
i play the most with bulgarians because kreposts have a similar damage output to castles while being quicker to build and costing almost half as much. the konnik is also a playable unit

The Britons are my favorite civilization, though the Vietnamese, and Teutons are right on their tail. I find the three above to be the most fun to play with, though I do enjoy many others. What makes Britons the most fun? That rush that occurs when you are pulling off a push, but cannot take your eyes off your Archers for a second, lest they disappear, yet you have to keep everything moving smoothly, possibly while fending off raids. The Britons do exactly have units of the quality of Hussars to keep their foes off balance, even if their Light Cavalry are used somewhat. People may talk about how great they are, and they have points, but playing them can be quite the tightrope to walk, and have some harsh match ups, and it is not the Goths that I am referring to.

Khmer, I just love elephants and the ability to make farms in secluded places, I also love their architectural style.
It’s also a civilization that I find quite fascinating historically.

Portuguese, the civ is not that good on land but b I can’t handle the fact that eventually resources will run out on the map and love that feitorias back up plan to just turtle in a corner.

Teutons: they have decent defense and usually don’t lack for wood - they’ve been my main since around 2013. 29 Teutonic Knights, 20 Hand Canoneers and 11 monks - square formation, stand ground alongside other units of choice to go alongside the support formation. Their defensive eco is nice with the longer range castles in imp and instant castle age herbal meds and murder holes goes a long way - I love the civ.
After that there are a few near it: Incas, Sicilians, Spanish, Italians, Britons, Poles, Lithuanians - these civs are pretty easy to shift into with my playstyle

Lithuanians before the nerf, now tend to like Huns a bit more because of the castle age aggression and flexibility.
Oh yeah and not getting housed

I quite like the Cuman 2TC feudal boom, Lithuanians are very fun and smooth to play. I also like Franks for the solid eco and cav, Khmer for the Scorp Elephant coolness combo, as well as the insane farming bonus, and Britons with the great archery rushes and general archer units.
