First of all, I’d like to thank the developers for the recent balance patch; the changes are positive and, in my opinion, improve the game’s long-term state.
As the title suggests, I wanted to discuss Quetzalcoatl’s technology, as it seems a bit too strong to me. When I have a large number of turkeys and sacrifice them all at once, I get an absolutely massive economic boost. Furthermore, if I have a turkey automatically sent to the temple from the food *calpulli*, I have the bonus active almost constantly (there is only a gap of a few seconds). It is expensive (25 Favor), but I feel the upgrade time is too long (15 seconds), or perhaps turkeys are produced too quickly once the economy is up and running. I’m not sure if a 15% boost to the entire economy is excessive or fair, given the cost.
To me, the fact that it stacks doesn’t make sense.
I also think it is a strong upgrade. Especially considering that it is a full positive cycle boost. You get trukey → you get more resources-> more resources gets you more turkey.
From my perspective, it seems excessive and overpowered. If I stockpile, say, 20 turkeys and sacrifice them at the temple, the bonus is massive. Plus, it’s not just a bonus for gathering food, but for all resources.
Last time Nyan did the math, You benefit more from doing some at a time because you lose less on walking times,
The bonus is very good imo. Specilly when you can set up the whole economy of doing 2 rows of farms around a food calpuli and just send all turkeys that spawn to the temple.
I think 15% of the *entire* economy seems a bit too much. Even the Book of Thoth doesn’t have values like that, and it dates back to the Age of Myths.
Maybe it’s fixed at 15% because I have to sacrifice a turkey, but for the Aztecs, getting turkeys is free.
