Hi everyone,
I’d like to propose a new feature: preset slots for mods, allowing players to save and quickly switch between different mod combinations.
Right now, many of us use completely different mod setups depending on what we’re doing, and switching between them manually every time is a hassle. Here are a few examples from my own experience:
Competitive / ranked play – I use a lightweight setup focused purely on clarity and performance. It might not look pretty, but it keeps things clean and responsive when every frame and every bit of visual noise matters.
Single-player / story mode – I go back to a more vanilla, immersive setup. Nothing flashy, just the original atmosphere and full immersion.
Spectating / casting matches (OB) – I use something in between: enough visual clarity for viewers to follow the action, but still polished enough to look good on stream.
Having preset slots would let us save each of these configurations and switch between them with a single click, instead of enabling/disabling mods one by one before every session.
A few possible ways this could work:
A dedicated “Presets” panel in the mod manager
Each preset stores the full mod list + load order + enabled/disabled state
Optional: hotkeys or a quick-switch dropdown on the main menu
Optional: the ability to share/import presets, similar to sharing build guides
I think this would be a big quality-of-life improvement for anyone who plays the game in different contexts — competitive players, content creators, streamers, and casual story players alike.
Would love to hear what others think. Is this something you’d find useful? And for the devs — is something like this feasible on your end?
Thanks for reading!
