I play a lot of hyper random, and on some maps start you with a feitoria. This means you always start housed (unless your huns) I find that the best start for a generic civ is to build 3 houses have one of the villagers start a new house while at 66% and have one of the other vills complete the first house, I was able to get start vill production at 42 seconds (optimized with pausing).
Has anyone ever made a build order for a Feitoria start? what the best strategy for this Gamemode? Malay fast castle into Tc’s, Fast castle into unique unit, Sarcens market abuse? Huns and Chinese would definitely be broken. Starting with a passive income of 3.6 resources per second is huge and would change almost every aspect of how the game is played and I’m interested in the strategy that you think up.
5% percent but I often reload games to get the maps I want and would be interested in a map with guaranteed feitoria start you may have to start with extra house so that Huns, Inca and to a lesser extent Spanish don’t become op
I fine with being housed but the only arguable problem is that this give an advantage to civs like Incas, Chinese, and Huns. For the purpose of a tournament I would add house but for regular game it’s fine. Certain maps will always advantage certain civs. Double TC starts benefit Indians, Tatars, and Britons, Markets benefits Saracens and Chinese, Barracks benefit Goths, Houses benefit Mayans. Hyper-random is not balanced but it does takes skill. Adapt take every advantage given to you Learn to play outside of your comfort zone. Some of the best map are those where things that are normally a taken for granted are missing I once played a map without gold luckily I had an AI ally for trade. The worst maps are those that give you Op Unique units like a Cobra car or Genghis Khan. Anyway I love hyper-random I play it more than all other maps combined.
