Dear developers, thank you very much for the recent update. I’ve been a fan of the Aztecs since I started playing, and it was thanks to the game that I fell in love with history and anthropology.
The last update was amazing, especially the city customizations and the legendary warriors with their new skins, the jaguar warrior is now historically accurate and looks fantastic. He is identical to the warriors in this Aztec drawings:
The moves, the details of the quetzal feathers, the face painting, it’s all amazing, I hope you keep improving the game as I believe it enriches the game, and many fans love story because of these details.
Now I want to talk about some ideas:
Coyote Warrior: (the gray fur version is kinda inaccurate, but if you are honoring the AOE2 style its ok) You could give them a random assorted colors like you gave to the pirates, like the ones in the images below:
Even jaguar warriors could have their blue (and yellow) variant, as in this images:
These would be small changes in color, but other changes could be skins variations for the villagers, because the typical men’s and women’s clothing of the Aztecs is very well known, particularly the hairstyles of the Aztec women, in that aspect I loved how details were given to the hausa and ethiopian villagers, and I believe the Inca villagers deserve some attention too. *And talking about skins, a battle mode for the Priest would be amazing, activating like the Stealth mode he could change into this Warrior Priest (in the middle):
Now big changes could be new maps, like Michoacan, adding native allies like the Purepechas, who deserve their own civilization for being one of the peoples who managed to repel the Aztecs/Mexicas. They could be a neutral civilization on the map, with Purepecha temples like this one:
The temples would be in the middle of the map and the (neutral)city around it with small spaces for (6)trading posts, all very close together giving some resources in certain periods of time.
A bigger change would be the use of Wonders, like the Chinese, Japanese and Indians, because the Aztecs gave too much importance to their temples, and we have alot of options: Templo Mayor, Temple of the Eagle Warriors, Moctezuma Palace (with gardens or zoo), and so on on.
One question I always had is about the color of the Aztec buildings both in the Home City and in the regular buildings, correct me please but I always thought the Aztec city was white(like most of the civilian clothes too), so white that from a distance the spaniards thought it was made of silver under the sunlight, and the most colorful cities were from neighboring cities or other cultures like Mayan( centuries before) who used a lot of red, so I expected this customization in the Home City, but I am very satisfied and happy with the current color changes. Greetings from Brazil! And thanks again!
