First Story based DLC - important adjustment

Please don’t make just a story-only DLC;

include at least two Civilization variants (e.g., RUS or Ottoman). Story alone isn’t enough and wouldn’t be satisfying.

I would rather any campaign gets the attention to detail and depth that satisfies campaign players, than tie in any additional content that might water that design goal down.

If the devs have budget for both, sure. But the campaign should be their focus for th announced DLC, 100%. If that’s not your thing, nobody’s forcing you to buy it.

They just added 4 variants 1 month ago. If they keep adding new civs every 6 months, the game will soon become a mess in terms of balance and knowledge barrier. There are already hundreds of matchups to learn. I’m fine with 2 civs per year if they are full civs. And I’m more than fine with variants if they’re as unique as the lastest ones AND we get full civs from time to time. What I want now is more QoL, eye-candy (more animals diversity would be nice) and matchmaking CO-OP.

I generally agree with you, but what I absolutely don’t need is just another story that I play through once and never touch again. That wouldn’t be enough for me to buy it.

I think more Civs are always a plus; you don’t always have to know everything by heart, that’s what makes a good match so appealing – surprises, etc.

With the latest mode, though, they’ve taken a step in the right direction. And QoL always wecome :slight_smile:
