Fixing the Techtree: Archer Bonuses are Unclear

I propose that the tech tree strictly adhere to the following definitions to remove confusion:

Foot Archer: Unmounted archer unit that fires arrows (as opposed to guns or javelins)

Archer: Any unit that is affected by archer armor blacksmith upgrades (including hand cannoneers, skirmishers, cavalry archers, war wagons, ratha, and many more)

What this would change:

Japanese: Cavalry Archers +2 attack vs. Archers Cavalry Archers +2 attack vs. Archers (except Skirmishers)

Britons: Foot archers (except skirmishers) +1 range in Castle and Imperial Age Foot archers +1 range in Castle and Imperial Age

Yeomen: +1 foot archer range +1 foot archer and skirmisher range

Ethiopians: Archers fire 18% faster Foot archers fire 18% faster OR Archers-line units fire 18% faster

Saracens: Foot archers archers +3 attack vs buildings —> Foot archers and skirmishers +3 attack vs buildings

Mayans: Archers cost -10% Feudal, -20% Castle, -30% Imperial Age → Foot-archers cost -10% Feudal, -20% Castle, -30% Imperial Age

“An archer is any unit that identifies as an archer”
“Do you know what a circular definition is ?”

well you’re not wrong

I thought this was supposed to be the uncomplicated Age game?

For people who like this sort of thing this is the sort of thing they like.

I’ve never heard that. Spirit of the Law wouldn’t have > 600 videos if that were true

Another off topic question, what software/app/website did you use?

I use a UI/UX design tool called Figma. Here is my mess of a workspace file you are welcome to clone and play around with https://www.figma.com/community/file/1375514770133978290
