Flickering on fullscreen + game terribly slow

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

When in fullscreen or full desktop mode, screen flickers constantly both totally and partially (meaning sometimes it’s the whole screen, sometimes just a half, or a triangle), making it effectively impossible to play (it’s difficult to even navigate the menu).

Turning on Vsync fixes this, but the game becomes incredibly slow, as if I was playing on a very old computer, to the point of being unplayable.

I mean I know it’s a rather old setup but I’ve always been able to play witout any problem, pass the benchmark test, etc., so that’s why I find it weird.

UPDATE:

Changing the font to Smooth Serif, as some have suggested, does indeed make navigating the menus and overall game a little more tolerable, but it is still sluggish as hell, laggy, and the flickering continues when going fullscreen.

Same for me, after installing Update 93000, the game is very slow and therefore unusable. Before that, the game run without any problems. If started, it consumes 100% GPU (I don’t know if this was the case before).

If I switch the graphics from full-screen mode to window, it depends from the height of the window, if the game behave as smoothly as erlier or not. If window-height is below 800, it performs good, but if the height grows, it gets slower and slower. But if using it with height < 800, the screen is too small to play. So it isn’t a trick.

The flickering has to do with graphics-option “vertical synchronization”. If I turn it off, the game is flickering in full-screen mode.

Update: If I check game-option “Smooth serif font” (“Glatte Serifenschrift” in german), the game gets a quick as earlier for me.
