:backhand_index_pointing_down: DESCRIBE THE ISSUE IN DETAIL (below). LIMIT TO ONE BUG PER THREAD.
A new decorative flying bird was added with the Alexander DLC, the Owl. However, the animal is only properly displayed in the Scenario Editor before testing a scenario. When actually playing, the Owl uses the graphics of the Hawk.

The reason is a misconfiguration of its “Fly” task. The flying and hovering graphics of the Hawk are assigend to it. As a workaround, this can be fixed with an XS script modifying the task.

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

:backhand_index_pointing_down: List CLEAR and DETAILED STEPS we can take to reproduce the issue ourselves… Be descriptive!

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Place some Owls (Gaia only) in the Scenario Editor, and a unit for Player 1 next to them.
  2. Test the scenario and look for the Owls. No Owls are seen, only Hawks.

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
The Owls should like Owls rather than Hawks. The graphics exist, only a few Fly task parameters have to be fixed.

As a side note, it would be nice if both the Owl and Red Crowned Crane had unique icons.

Still not fixed as of update 162286.
For scenario designers not using XS script (to change two values of the Fly task, that’s the whole issue), the Owl is essentially unusable.
