Framerate drops in 1v1 skirmish

  • PLATFORM: Steam
  • OS: Windows 10 x64 build 2004

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

At the start of a 1v1 skirmish (vs. AI) match, the framerate is good (56 FPS on vsync), but when moving to areas with more objects (be it animals, units or even trees), it dips to 30, sometimes briefly less, and sometimes with microfreezes.

Relevant configuration elements:

Windows 10 x64 build 2004
Intel Core i7-7700 processor (4 cores @ 3.6 GHz each)
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 (3 GB VRAM version) with driver version 456.71
Hard drive (not SSD)

Star Wars: Squadrons runs without issue with high graphics settings at 60 FPS on this same computer.

Fire whoever told you to put Arxan DRM in the game and make sure they’re never employed in a game company again.

Hey there @PlokiteWolf,

Thanks for reaching out! Sorry to hear you are encountering this issue. Could you provide us with some additional details so we can investigate further?

Can you let us know the level that you have your graphics options set to? Could you also reply with a copy of your DxDiag?

Is the game saved to any drive other than your C: drive? If so, could you try moving it back to your C: drive?

Thanks for the additional info!

Hi @Licidy

attached are the DxDiag output and screenshots of the exact settings I use.

The game is already on C:, and I don’t have any partitions on this computer anyway.

@Licidy, an update - with today’s patch (100.12.3552.0), and with the “No AA” setting, the problem is somewhat less exaggerated, but still very much present.
