Free camera mod added in latest patch allows us to manipulate the camera however we want, so i thought it’d be good if we use that to post potential ludicris zoom suggestions for the future updates, to give all possible context on how to make it right distance and angle
here’s my take:
Oh mate, i love the zoom in. I have not been able to see the battles in this way. Could we set It during Skirmish or campaigns?
Byzantines models are pretty good and they deserve a new zoom levels
skirmish only with free camera mod installed and free camera gamemode selected, campaign unfortunately no you can’t
Is there a mod for It?
yes, an official mod called free camera, the camera is completely unrestricted with it, all orientations and any distance you can think of is possible with it
Thank you very much. I tought that free camera was only for creators and spectators.
I’ve already inatalled It and It beautiful. Finally i could have the same feelings of AOE3de.
In the next days i’ll post some screenshots.
My only suggestion to developers Is they have to include this mod as standard option to select by everyone have interest to play in this way.
Especially since this a game mode so we currently aren’t able to use free camera mode in ranked and quick match.
I just tested it out and I love it.
Supreme commander is still the gold standard of the zoom-out
Im suprised, its been so many years since its release yoid think newer gamea would copy the technique.
Most notibly when the zoom was all the way out (seeing the entire map at once) the units were represented by icons.
Im afraid its too late for AOE4 to see this kind of modernization without looking odd
