(without chemistry technology) Normal culverin damage is 85+200 , Royal Culverin is 102+204. The French age IV landmark should work on both original damage and special damage ( Considered that normal culverin’s special damage is 200 ,Royal Culverin however is 204 , it seems not because the landmark remain the special damage). I don’t know if it’s designed this way ,but now the “Royal Culverin” did basically the same damage as normal culverin (304 = 285 * 1.07) , which is not healthy for an age IV landmark

Here’s what the numbers look like:

  • Royal Culverin (Base): 102 + 204 = 306
  • Royal Culverin (Chemistry): 122 + 204 = 326

  • Culverin (Base): 85 + 200 = 285
  • Culverin (Chemistry): 102 + 200 = 302

The Royal Culverin does more damage as a base unit than the Chemistry-improved version of the regular Culverin. What would you all prefer to see?

I think The chemistry technology is not that important because it only work on the original one third damage.

Just in my opinion ,HRE regular Cul should be 85+170(102+170=272 after Che) or French Royal Cul should be 102 + 244 (122+244=366 after Che). 102 + 170 =272 can’t 1 hit KO Mangonel(have 288 points with “siege works”) or 122 + 244 =366 can 1 hit KO Chinese Springald ( have 360 points with landmark, “siege works” while not with Ming Dynasty) . That will differentiated this two kinds of culverin in efficacy ( 272/326 302/366) .

For now, There isn’t a Siege have the hit point between 302 and 326 , and the two kinds of Culverin both can 2 hit KO all siege or 3 hit KO all Chinese Sieges.

I’m not saying they must have absolute performance differences ,but that landmark do cost 3600 resources ,so that “not useful” 24 (326- 302) damage seems not … very cool
