:play_button: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Less than 10 minutes into the scenario blue already has cannon galleons and wipes out not only the colonies but the main player. No time to create any sort of economy. The AI is overly aggressive. I have tried 5 times to beat this, even migrating to Borneo, the big island in the north, but the AI just absolutely overwhelms any attempt at defense. I honestly believe that this is beyond any normal human being. Only the likes of Hera or TheViper may clear this scenario in moderate. I played in standard and the difference is night and day, the computer barely does anything. Could it be that someone made a mistake and moderate is behaving exactly like hard?

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start gajah mada 3 on moderate difficulty

  2. Build a base and some ships and a castle

  3. Blue will smash your castle with his cannon galleons. Your fleet wont be able to stop him due to the sheer number of enemy vessels attacking you from blue and green

  4. Yellow will finish the job by attacking you from land (despite the hint that yellow wont attack unless provoked or if the player expands into his territory, that is a total lie, last try I went directly to Borneo and did not do anything to yellow, he attacked anyway without any provocation)

Player is allowed to at least advance to the imperial age and build a semblance of an economy

All you need to do at the beginning is to make 4-5 fishing ships and getting food, this will be enough to get a constant creation of villagers, all the villagers you are creating are going to the wood at this moment, and you collect gold from water, and you can spam war galley and fire ships + doing all the necessary techs for resisting and making a lot of docks until imp, all the rest of the scenario is easy while your allies are giving you resources

The bug refers to the game not giving enough time for the player to build an economy prior to being attacked with overwhelming force by the computer. The strategy you highlight only works with perfect micro. I managed to beat this scenario by constantly loading and saving the game because any loss of a single fishing ship at the beginning is catastrophic, same if you cant hold yellow at bay. I consider this behavior to be Not Intended for this difficulty.
