I played this campaign mission twice and I got the same bug where I cannot move the king. He appears next to the castle after being ungarrisoned by the script, but he cannot be moved, even when I put him back in the castle and change the drop-off area and try it again. Still no success.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Play the Malay campaign mission Unconditional Loyalty

  2. Destroy enemy walls and get to the king

  3. King appears next to castle but cannot be moved to flagged area to complete the mission.

I should be able to move the king to the objective area and win the mission.

I can do this if I must but I played it twice, once on story difficulty, and again on standard. There is no way to move the king character. There is nothing blocking him, no trees or other units, he simply does not move.

You can set the castle’s rally point elsewhere and ungarrison the king there.

That’s what I did but he is still stuck. There is nothing obstructing him.

There should be a statue (which is what blocks him) in the place where he automatically ejects but if you set the rally point in the opposite direction it shouldn’t. I could actually beat the scenario doing that.

I’ll fool around some more and see if it works. What a stupid place to put a statue!

edit: yup the statues are on the corners, I have to drop him off on the western side.
