Game crashes when opening tech tree.

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Start an online game
  2. open tech tree

@LukeSky8412 Thanks for the report, could you please attach the .mdmp file from the crash? this would be in “C:\Users\USER\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\logs” and will have a format like this “AoE2DESteam-XXXXX-2021.06.23-09.56.40.mdmp” Just look for the one with the date and time when this happened and attach it so we can investigate it further

@LukeSky8412 are you by any chance using any mods? if so could you please tell me which ones? also do you recall which civilization were you using at that time?

This happened 2 o 3 times in the last 10 days aprox. Once i was using Burmese and another one an archer civ (britons or mayans, not sure).

Since the same issue happened in a few days i tried not to open the tech tree while in game just in case. Yesterday i did it while playing a ranked game with some friends and it didn’t happen so it’s not 100% of times as i stated in the original message.

I also had this issue 1-2 times, but I just crashed to desktop, without any specific error.

Hey @LukeSky8412,
thanks a lot for all the information, but the mdpm file is from 09.01. and the recorded game is from 09.03. Could you please provide us with the correct date files?

this has also happened to me twice, i’m afraid to open the tech tree anymore
