The game will lag considerably, then crash before the intro even finishes playing.

  • 100% of the time / matches I play (ALWAYS)

:arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Boot up the game, as the intro plays, it starts to stutter and then a window pops up saying (AoE2DE encountered a problem and needs to close).

The intro stutters and then the game crashes.

My computer uses Ryzen 9 3900X and Radeon RX 6950 XT with 32 GB of RAM. I am hoping this is not an AMD-exclusive issue.

Did the (verify game integrity), seems fixed, although I don’t know why the game deleted 30 files out of nowhere.
