Game is stuck on Keyboard + Mouse

Issue:

(Never plugged a keyboard or mouse into my xbox x/s for any game. Accidentally did this in the menu for aoe2 DE. Now the "Controller Tab is greyed out and can no longer play with my x/s controller… I even reinstalled)

Reproduction Steps:

Here’s how to reproduce the problem:

  1. (List the steps we can take to reproduce the bug ourselves…)
  2. …Turn keyboard and mouse on if if one is not plugged in. Try going back to controller. Wont let you.

Did a cache dump as well. Tried starting a game. Cursor box moves by its self. Going into options while in an active game still shows “Controller” menu grayed out thus unable to use the xbox controller on my xb1 x/s.

Did you try switching the input in options on the main menu?

For anyone still looking, go to main menu > interface > input > you can change from controler or mouse and keyboard.
