Theres a sound bug after the new update all commands sounds ingame (like moving units, selecting buildings,etc…) seem to be at max level instead of assuming the value chosen in “Sound Volume” option.

I experience something similiar but it seems to consistently triggered if multiple units are selected or trained at the same time. The sound “stacks” and becomes abnormaly loud.
yeah true, it happens dat too… samething is really off about the sound atm
Yeah same after this last patch the audio feels off now, like sometimes it’s just too loud, sometimes it’s too low, idk it was better before

Game music is fine
When selecting units or buildings, the sound goes down. Like it becomes dull.
After 1 second, the music takes over again.
Attacking sounds and such are still fine.
workaround tried: set all game sounds to 100 = same issue
The change to FMOD audio botched volume mixing. Some cues like clicking on the TC are too quiet, others like Minotaur, Ox cart, etc. acks are extremely loud. My guess is that the supposedly new reverb, echo and other situational audio effects are causing unintended glitches. The game was perfectly fine audio-wise before. I don’t understand this change at all.
I suspect this new audio engine even affected performance as some have reported. I lost about 10fps at 4k.

Yes, same issues. There was an improvement but almost negligible.
Not to mention the Minotaur’s grunt sounds are coming from the wrong speaker (e.g Minotaur is on the left taking damage but the grunt sounds are coming from the right speaker and at a low volume).
Don’t get me started on the mods, ALL sound mods are broken because the SOUNDS.BAR doesn’t have the sound files anymore, so with sound mods they just point to the places where they should be but there is nothing there.
some sounds are better others still bugged. overall still bugged!

At this point I think it’s best to just remove FMOD and go back to the original sound system.
