Yeah because at least you could 12/10 properly against Brits and avoid a VC boom that is going to be completed at min 5:52 and totally outmass you. Also it could work against Dutch and Germany. The rest of the MU’s like Sweden, Spain, Incas, and Ports would remain the same because you can’t really raid those civs at min 5-6 with 8 huss. Well maybe against sweden could work by just raiding the mines but it would make France more able to compete against those civs that are in the top and it is as simple as giving their 50 food crate back.

That’s not a France issue, that’s a brit sweden and port issue for balance, using the logic of comparing a balanced civ to an OP one we could say Germany needs a buff because they loose to Sweden and brit.
Also I do rank with France once in a while and I have done like 20 ranked games in total with them, and quite a lot of unranked team, I like their eco, I have yet to play against Sweden as France, I’ve lost to port water as France a couple times but I’m pretty sure almost every civ loses to port water, usually against brit I go double rax musk and I would say it’s not super favored for brit but still slightly brit favored, I think France is bad against Inca in age 2 and early age 3, I think the best way for France to win this matchup is for France to semi ff and protect your falcs as well and you can. I would say the most unfavorable matchups for France are Spanish and Germans, I would say the best matchups for France are Russia and China.
Well honestly Germany’s Tower rush works quite well against Brit’s VC boom. Obviously Sweden needs a nerf and against Dutch you can compete in mass against them. Only unwinnable match it seems is against Spain for Germany.
Germany does quite well against all the civs and it is a more solid choice than France. Germany could be a slight S Tier Civ
But instead of nerfing a lot of civs that i think doesn’t deserve any (brits,spain,dutch) then the easiest solution would be giving France their 50 food crate back in order to be as good option as using Germany.

France is fine. Of course it suffers from the stupid op civs but who doesn’t.

No, they aren’t. The main game play element seens to be the wall. Most French players turtle their way to industrial age where they are better.
I think they need some changes to the early game, but not necessarily their food crate back.
Well we’ll agree to disagree then, my opinion is they were too strong before and needed the nerf so I’m happy with how they are.
