If your talking about winrates cuz not many ppl know of this build yet, once its published like i did and more ppl abused it, Golden horde will have highest winrate on team games 4vs4 and ffa
works both low elo and high elo, and even better if ur in a team, u just need 3 teammates to defend you while you boom, or you can have 2 golden horde booming, so even if one dies, the other gets to imperial, the other team is instant gg even if they are ramming the other golden horde
i managed to do a build with 13 min imperial, 14.30 min immediately pump infinite Torguds
Golden horde is very weak in dark age and feudal so they can be compensated and buff elsewhere
It is not that they are printing them but more that they are impossible to kill because of the healing. Did you notice the green plusses above their heads??? They are healing better that keshiks but only when they attack buildings. They gain like 20 hp per hit.
I’m not saying there isn’t an imbalance at certain stages of the game, but there’s a big difference between that and saying it “ruins team games.” What ruined the game were the Lancasters at launch, which they had to quickly nerf with a hotfix.

So basically right now picking Golden horde is Auto Win on Team Games/ FFA
unless you can kill them all in the first 15 min

So I think they are okay if you think it through as that age 4 stone production as similar to the English wingard production landmark. You batch train units, minimal discount, but save on production time and it works more efficiently. Just maybe reduce the stone discount so the units aren’t as cheap to balance? Or somehow match the resource output to the wingard to the two are aligned and balanced in the production resource to time equivalent? Unless they already are then idk. I haven’t done that math on that one yet.
I would also consider swapping the bonus of rus tribute getting an ax and armor to the yam network trade age up. Not that they go together any better but currently less of an incentive to go for the gold when you can go for the discounted stone based production
Okay so some very rough math on wingard for both English and Lancaster and it varys but the essence is a 30% discount on the cost of overall units in the batch but an 80% reduction on the time to produce. Best equivalent being the barracks landmark burgrave for HRE. So in all those cases the advantage is speed of production and some minor cost reduction. Golden horde gets the cost reduction in that 3 units for the price of 2 in the extra batches.
In the end I would say balance should be focused heavily on speed of production and only add a marginal discount given the batches create that extra discount.
When malians had their batch using gold production landmark I think the discount was 10% reduction and the use of all gold for those units. Maybe golden horde also does a 10% discount and use stone and then lean heavy on the production speed.
Other things to consider golden horde doesn’t get much in the way of eco bonuses (example being the advance gather rate of mongols, cisterns of byz, HRE priests, etc) so that 3rd free unit in a batch kind of makes it balanced to other civs eco bonus of generally 20-30% depending on who it is.
Yeah but the English batch one trains much slower, its like 45 seconds, 300 Food, 400 Gold, Golden Horde is 60 stones, 127 food. for a Batch of 2, (3 with upgrade), in 6 seconds
437 HP and have like 9 armor
HRE dont get discount on Units, thats only OOTD and its still quite slow to train
the Rus Armor Landmark is actually quite balanced, its the Relic Ovvo thats overpowered , + that age 4 landmark thats the problem
Thing is Mongol AGE4 it produce a batch of random untis every 90 seconds, while here is every 6 seconds
That’s where I think they can improve on the age 4 stone armies is through reducing that unit discount and adjusting the production time to still be the focus but more in line with the English landmark. Going with karash as an example to go from 100 food to only 10 stone is a massive discount. Vs maybe it goes to 70 stone but still produces in a quicker production time? Something like that to balance closer to wingard
Just make torguuds 65 gold expensive and fix the age 1 discount that effects food cost of the torguuds it might be solved.(65 gold for one unit so 2 of them should cost 130 gold)

Yep Gold can fix it, or make Torguds max limit of 30 or less, they are BODYGUARDs, not as an ARMY

I like that idea of limiting it similar to black riders for HRE? Maybe something where it’s 5 per every fortified tower or something? Or idk the number but something similar to black riders
