There is not even reason to read a bully that attacks people on forum depending on their rank while hiding his own. Let’s just focus on the topic we are talking.
Anyway, if every bombard in the game has bonus against Elephants, Geat Bombard should have it too. Still, I think is not a big balance, it only improves Otoman vs late Delhi.
I got that win rate because i played good now it droped because i didnt play well and on equal footing some civs are op.Giving great bombard elephant damage buff dont makes them op just makes them same with other civs.
As you say, the improvement would only affect Ottoman performance against Delhi Sultanate, or against teams that use Delhi, whose elephants shine in team games since they become even stronger in LateGame; (LateGame in which Ottomans are not performing very well lately and it shows in team games, I’ll explain this later in the post), but will be necessary for balance.
And for aesthetic reasons, it’s great to see that Bombards can defeat Elephants:
Yeah. I think the biggest problem now with the Ottoman is Late Game, once one of the best, now they don’t hold up well in team games (where the games go more into the late game, and on average 30 minutes).

At least I think this Teams phenomenon for ottomans should be Evaluated, because a 0.4% pick is anormal, it’s too low. Maybe I’ll even create a new topic about it.
Not only that. In my personal experience, I have played more than 200 1v1 RM, and only 7 of them were against Otomans. I won 4 and lost 3, but only 1 of them was real (using French), the other 2 were just testing stuff like Abassid 3 TC (and was actually my first time playing abbasid) and the old English Council Hall (I don’t play that way). In QM I have played like 120 games, 7 of them against Otomans and I have 100% winrate. So basically, playing serious, I have almost 100% winrate against Otomans.
I don’t agree with you about late game. For me, the biggest problem is the early and mid game. With a bad early and mid eco/boom/military, you get to Imperial far behind from everyone and can’t catch up.
The early and mid game have a huge impact on the game. Just imagine if the berries from the Landmark spawn 100% faster and can be collected 100% faster too. Even when it is a buff for minute 4, you would get an extreme advantage over your enemy that is hard to revert. That’s the problem for Otomans, that they are always behind. Late game is not the core of this game, and balance can not be focused only on that.
Looks obvious to me… devs forgot to add the damage to the great bombard. Hope they fix this in the next patch, it’s our only counter to elephants other than anti cav/heavy units. Very hard to kill elephants without it. I don’t play ottoman often so I didn’t know this, thanks for the info OP!
Guys all bombards are now anti elephant only Ottoman Great Bombard isnt anti alephant its like all the archers do bonus damage to spearman but Ottoman archers dont.Great bombard needs to be anti elephant too this is not a demand to buff the Ottomans.I think Ottomans dont need a buff by the way but their Istanbul Imperial Palace is still bad compared to other landmark.I think some vizier points dont worth taking it.
