Issue: Great Flood moves Carnivora’s arms away from the main plant
Lol. Those carnivoria bugs are so hilarious
but does change anything besides visual?
Well, no. By moving the arms and breaking the unit apart you are changing the intended function. It is less likely to pull a unit in for devour, it deal less damage etc.
but did u test that? or how do you make sure of that?
I mean you could test it if you wanted to. But knowing the coding for Carnivora (I do some modding) I’m certain it has unintended effects the the way the unit is meant to function.
So Carnivora is made up of a main body and three independent (attached) arms. The arms are not selectable/ targetable, but they are each assigned their own RoF and attack damage. They operate independently of each other and the main body of the plant. Each arm has a small % pull to draw units in. Collectively, them all attacking the same unit has a greater effect on pulling in a unit. If they arms are separated from the body, the body would have less ability to defend itself (since it has less overall attack) and wouldn’t be as effective at pulling units toward it. Make sense?
well i dont know if it is a bug or intended. For me is a cool feature
