I’m not the one who suggest a list of changes that have nothing to do with why the game is unbalanced just because a single Greek god is overperforming and completely ignore that the Norse gods in general are also performing very well.
I play Greek since vanilla. Agree only that Centaur should be a bit more expensive. Other than that, Poseidon is really delicate to balance, must be careful. On EE and TT Poseidon was barely used. The thing is the combo Hermes + Dio + Lord of Horses that make cav absurdly strong and people are struggling, but just remember: 2 weeks ago Poseidon was considered s***, Hades OP, etc…
People are still testing and learning how to use and counter things, don’t rush because of this.
On greek mirror, Zeus and Hades just need to spam other MUs and if they manage to keep 4+ manticores alive, is GG Poseidon.
What needs to be fix ASAP is Loki free convertion.
This thread was about Greek (see title). Obviously Id also want them to do changes Norse as well. Mainly reducing FW damage from 75% to 60%, fixing mountain giant special attack damage on units (it does 500 rn so oneshotting every human unit except elephants) and having Odin 2nd raven only unlocked at 3rd age. Loki bonuses probably needs nerf somewhere as well.
I also didn’t suggest nerf to archers or hoplites, so Poseidon/Hermes were mainly target the nerfs I suggested.
I agree only for the centaur part. It need a nerf ! It’s a bit too cost effective.
I don’t see how hypaspist, prodomos and hippeus are that op. They are pretty cost effective but it’s the main ‘‘theme’’ of the faction. Im pretty sure the more people will play, the more they will learn how to counter greek. Egyptian and scandinavians are harder so they take more time to master. Atlantean is different but probably the same difficulty as greek.
Scylla is maybe a bit strong, but i don’t think it need that nerf. I’d rather make it’s heads longer time to spawn, more than the hydra because it’s easier to survive as scylla.
Poseidon lure is a bit op so it maybe need a nerf. But Zeus and Hades are fine if we talk about WR. Seth was strong the patch before, now it’s close to be ‘‘weak’’ (according to all mmr wr, still good in high elo don’t get me wrong on that) so… let’s not exagerate and kill greek with too much nerfs in a row. The game need time to be balanced.
Never said Atalanta would get more HP, I said Poseidon and Hades heroes should be weaker until they research a tech to upgrade the heroes to their current hp.
Just let villagers of all pantheons cover in houses and you have a natural anti raid until your armies can defend the location. this makes the gods who is OP in early game like Poseidon lose a lot of power from early raids.
Cavalry is too strong at the moment, any civ is spamming cavalry with no real drawbacks.
Crenellations was useful to keep cavalry in check in the old game, the bonus vs cavalry is only *1,25 now, make it at least *1,5 vs cavalry and restore the bonus vs moving targets.
Poseidon is still overpowered. Centaurs needs to be fixed. They nerfed Zeus mainly who was already weaker than Poseidon. Poseidon’s lure is actually better now.
Also remove the myrmidon upgrade of Hera please (limits her pickability unlike Hel to just Zeus…) and even I like the idea of Toths upgrade where you get two elephants it might need a slight nerf in training time - and burr phoenix instead (add a new skill like Nidhog has for example)
