Green Screen Bug in AoE 2

:play_button: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

:backhand_index_pointing_down: In some games, I get a completely green screen followd by a complete computer block. Everything stops responding. This is specific to AoE since I play other games, even some more “heavy” games like The Last of Us or Marvel’s Spiderman and I don’t experience something like this.

:play_button: FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

  • Less than 25% of the time / matches I play (RARELY)

:play_button: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Open a ranked game

  2. Play for around 10 minutos

  3. AoE becomes green and shortly after the whole pc blocks.

:play_button: EXPECTED RESULT

:backhand_index_pointing_down: What was SUPPOSED to happen if the bug you encountered were not present?
Just having a regular game.

:backhand_index_pointing_down: ALWAYS attach a PICTURE (.jpg, .png, .gif) or VIDEO (.mp4, YouTube link) that highlights the prob lem.
 This feature is bugged. I have a picture but cannot upload the image here.

Sometimes you can get a picture to upload after several tries. But it sounds like a compatibility issue. Perhaps hardware, perhaps software. For instance, Steam, Discord, and other overlays are known to have issues. (not a dev)

I don’t use discord while playing, but I do use steam voice chat, you think that could be a problem? Not even an overlay. I don’t think it’s hardware, I have even changed RAM and still having that issue
