Let’s guess by the sake of guessing. I don’t know much about African history or geography, so pure luck:
My picks:
Morocco/Berbers* or Bedouins
Zulu
Mali
Sudan
Egyptians
*Better call them Amazighs

Possible minor civs:
So northern and eastern Africa seems to be well covered, western partly, while central (Kongo) and southern (Zulu) not at all. Maybe a second Africa DLC in the future? What do you think?
Keep on mind that some of that units would be avaliable through age up alliances, but nice list
I would love this. As the great Phillip J Fry once said:…
The third is likely the Tuareg, since Moroccans are Berbers too.
Egyptians, Moroccans and Ashanti should become major civs in the future, the first as a colonial state. Fulani lived in the Hausa Kingdoms, and Hausa has some Fulani units. Same goes for Ethiopians, Oromo Riders are not Ethiopian, but they lived within/next to the empire.
I don’t know since when, but I would say that Morocco people is a mix between arabs populations and amazighs (berbers). IRC there’re even power relationships between them, being arabs the ethnicity that holds the power now.
African Islamic civs DLC
Wouldn’t Egypt have been Ottoman-controlled territory during most of the game’s time frame?
Yes, but I suppose that some regional units and tech could have been done.
BTW, you can discover which are the new minor african civs on the Public Beta.
I would expect some like the Kongolese, Dahomeyans, Swahili, Tswana or Kilwans
from the info given Zulu and Berber seem likely.
Somalis
Akan (Ashanti)
Sudanese
Yoruba
Berbers
are the minor civs.
Confirmed from PuP?
.
Yes they are. I love them already
Cool! I can’t wait to try them soon.
