Gurjaras Chakram Thrower description says that their speed can be upgraded in the Barracks, but the Squires technology is not available to them.

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Go to Gurjaras Tech Tree
  2. Go to Chakram Thrower
  3. Read their description, then check the Barracks techs available

Either the description should not say their speed can be increased at the Barracks, or they are supposed to have access to Squires

It just says that for all of the UUS, regardless of techs. I think it’s in case you used triggers or something to make it trainable for a civ with squires.

This means it can be benefited from the tech ‘Squires’ as it is the infantry class, you can use in-game triggers in editor to enable it and make it trainable with other civs with squires, and it will acquire the speed bonus.

I went backed and looked, and I see now most units in the game say they can benefit from the upgrades that they don’t have access to. I suppose now it is an annoyance with how the information is displayed in game.

In full tech tree mode you can research squires and get that unit.
