Haciendas, Baja California, Huntables

I have been toying around with some strategies with my brother involving the Baja California Territory card and huntables: “Ships 3 Settlers; Haciendas attract nearby huntable animals to improve its work rate”

It’s fun but I am having trouble telling how the huntable animals’ work rate compares to cows when it comes to working on haciendas. It almost seems like buffalo work better than cows but I am a little too overwhelmed by the scenario editor to find a good way to test it out.

Does anyone have any info or links to any guides with how different combos of units on a hacienda affect the work rate? I have seen one that compares vills and herdables but nothing with the huntables.

Thanks for the tips!

I’d make an educated guess and say it works the same way it does shrines for Japan. Bigger animals contribute more, but also max out the shrine faster (e.g. you can only have 2 elephants on a shrine, but 4 cows).

It’s broken. At least in team games.

elephants give as much as a villager for a rate of 5,5 max with 10 of them and yes bigger animal=faster rate.
