Sorry to tell you this patch has not fixed the problem for me, in fact it’s made it worse. The menu buttons still flicker all over the place both in game and from the main menus. I will take some videos and report it via the usual bug reporting process. I have to stress this is a major problem that makes game play impossible!
Agreed, been 14 days now and interest in aoe4 within my small gaming group has dried up since I can’t play anymore. Was really interested in the expansion too.
EDIT: the latest patch did not fix the issue for me either

Same here, still having the issues unless I unplug all my sim gear.

Problem still there, cannot play the game at all. I have no gear plugged other than mouse & keyboard. I even tried to remove them from windows for a fresh driver detection & reinstall but it did not worked either. It’s kind of annoying not being able to play my game for more than 2 weeks with so little reaction from the developers (lots of pending bugs since the major update…).

FYI : I have the problem on the Game Pass version. I bought and launched the Steam Version and the problem is fixed, I can play normally. I re-launched the Game Pass version after that just to check, the problem is still there. I don’t know what to think about that. I’m considering stopping my game pass subscription.
I still have this issue too, it has NOT been solved at all, the patch doesn’t work! For me, the issue is as per the other comments however apart from a wireless mouse, I do not have any peripherals connected, I use an HP laptop which has played all the AOE games perfectly until this bug. The problem is also present within the actual game play itself with menus inaccessible unless the alt button is held and even then that makes the map change perspective like turning the map around. Also if you hold alt and hit the settings button, the chat window comes up which you can’t get rid of until you exit that screen. Completely unacceptable! I mean come on, it’s been several weeks since your update came out and this is still not fixed!

- this issue has been marked resolved
- AOE4 Known Issues tracker has this comment:
This issue has been fixed in Minor Patch 15.1.7149 for most instances, and we are tracking further reports of this issue.

i disconected my sim gear and it works, have n ot conected sim gear after since at the mom i only play aoe.
No - not resolved - I would say worse - I had it fixed by removing my paired but not connected PS5 controllers. However after the last update I can’t play now. Very disappointed.

I can confirm connecting a PS5 controller via bluetooth can recreate this error for me.
Just wanted to see if this topic can get set to unresolved or if a new topic needs to be created for the exact same issue with the latest update?
