[Helping weak civs] some minor ideas for improvements

They have one of the worst skirm. But FU halabs and ok scouts.

Turks have the worst spearman, the worst skirm and FU hussars.

But ok guys, if you think Turks are balanced there is no need to give them anything.

So, why does everyone, including pro players, say that they are the worst 1v1 civ?

I wrote my last comment 8 hours ago, and I am glad there is a lot of discussion here.

Congratulations for the Trashcorpion idea. Very interesting and unic. If they do this, turks may rise to my top3 beloved civs.

However, there is only one week left until new patch… maybe this suggestion cames too late to be implemented

If someone implement this, Turks will become Siege Civ :rofl: :rofl:

This is an anaccurate analisis, franks light cav is the worst in the game (even teutons scouts are better) and their ES have the same range of turks feudal skirms. They only have better halbs, but turks have better hussars so…

In feudal they can defend themself, and untill they can have gold, they are playable, there are about 7 civs with good trash on more 30 civs.

In team games, franks just spam paladins with 192HP.

Why not? One can’t simply tech into paladins and jannis, and artillery and so on, it would give them more flexibility without making them OP.

It outrange other BBC, and I would choose SR over SE everytime.

Again, teutons, with BL and +1/+2 MA have better scout line.

Because they struggle vs archers, and because, like the majority of civs, are weak on arabia 1v1, but trash-scorps wouldn’t fix those problems.

They already are a Siege civ. They have free Chemistry, have a BBC UT, and have Siege Ram.

I do not want yet another Paladin civ. every civ that has paladins, just goes for it unless they are Celt level Paladins (missing 2 upgrades).
It is way too over-efficient a unit.

So another idea.

Ive seen few times, many people want make Sipahi affect scout line. But Turk scouts are very good as they are, and this not realy fit the Tech. Sipahi were the medium-heavy Cav, not the light cav. So i propose make Sipahi affect knight-line. +20HP Cavaliers are not broken.

For me, saying that Turks need Paladins more than a buff in no gold situations, is very very very strange… pretty sure that this is not the general feeling… anyway if trashpions is a worse idea than Turks Paladins, it is my problem if I cannot figure out why

Knights with Double Bloodlines could be OP, however. Sipahi is balanced around being strong for just one unit, and being a Castle Age tech.

Not more than Knights with 33% faster attack or being 15% cheaper.

Those civs do not have Heavy Camels, however.

Ah, yes, the Berbers.
Still, no need to make Turk Cavalry even stronger, tehy already have good Cavalry, and a great Castle Age.

But why not? Heavy Cav is good with killing archers, and this is where Turks strugle. Turks almost dont play Cav (though they can) . SO now they will be less predictible in Castle, and have good option in Imperial.

My question is: what buff do the Turks need? Late game with gold? If yes, Paladins is good. Otherwise, if you say that they are ok with trash (I am against this) they need no buff…

To better counter archers, if you are against Britons for example, you can use paladins.
Another option would be to give them onager upgrade.

This is a different philosophy with respect to buff the trash. I will wrap up the discussion and I will keep these two separated.

Why should this be broken? Just because Paladins upgrade is more expensive? UT techs of Bulgarians and malians are very good as well, but I think that this is not as Paladins. Clearly the advantage is that you spare gold and that it is faster that Paladins. And the goal of this design (which I do not like) is to close the game asap, to avoid to go in a trash war…

FU Cavalier have:
140 HP
16 Atk
5/6 Armour.
4 LOS

FU Paladin:
180 HP
18 Atk
5/7 Armour
5 LOS

If we add 20 HP to the FU Cavalier (to 160), it will be practicly identical to the Byz Paladin, witch is:
160 HP
16 Atk
5/7 Armour
5 LOS

Only diffwerence will be with PA (-1) and LOS (also -1)
