Hidden Cup with double elimination

I really wish for a Hidden Cup with double elimination. I will now for fun, just entertain my thoughts about this. In my personal experience, double elimination will make more balanced finals. In The Garrison tournament, we did get a close final between Hera and Liereyy, because Liereyy had a second chance. Hidden Cup finals are, in my experience, not that good or surprising. A second chance for players is really needed in an elimination tournament to make finals better.

Because of the mystery about how is how in Hidden Cup, a parallel or semi-parallel loser bracket will engage players longer in Hidden Cup, because they need to play at least one other set. So it will be harder to guess which players are already out until the finals. The viewers also have more games to watch, and this hopefully makes guessing more interesting, because there is more data to study.

A loser bracket is also an option for more “parallel” broadcasting, which could be good for smaller streamers, without taking airtime from the main broadcasters. The obvious price for all this would be more needed admin, player and organization time to manage more games. This is surely no small price to pay and there is no guarantee this will result in more overall watch hours or donations. This is clearly only me entertaining these thoughts just for fun. I may also offer my unpaid help to a degree, if they have a use case for a Software Developer with over 5 years industry experience in C# for backend and frontend and also with over 2 years of private experience as a developer on a browser game with PHP and JavaScript stack.

Hidden Cup was my first E-Sport tournament I watched and I just love the format. Please share your thoughts about this if you want.

I think hidden cup with 32 players, double elimination and all sets being bo3 could be really interesting. short sets make it harder to guess who is who, and double elimination makes shorter sets less punishing
