I have a major hypothesis: if the game version were rolled back to the closed beta state, it could be offered as a separate mode for player vs. player matches or even tournaments. Back in that version, we were all still learning the game, so the balance changes over these past few years might have steered us in the wrong direction. What if, with our current high level of skill and understanding, we revisited that original version? Would the outcome be completely different?
