Horse-drawn units move as single entities

:arrow_forward: ISSUE EXPERIENCED

Horse-drawn units, such as wagons and artillery in Limber Mode, move in a stiff way. With the horse and the wagon always facing the same direction, even when turning. The original game would have the unit move as two articulated entities, but the Definitive Edition seems to have broken or dismantled this feature. :arrow_forward: REPRODUCTION STEPS

Here’s the steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Select a wagon or limbered artillery.
  2. Order them to move anywhere that isn’t straight forward.

:arrow_forward: EXPECTED RESULT

The draft animal would turn towards the intended destination first, with the wagon or artillery piece turning shortly after it as the unit starts moving.

:arrow_forward: ACTUAL RESULT

The entire unit turns in unison as a single entity, sometimes on its own axis. It is visually jarring and a significant visual downgrade in comparison to the original game.

Man aoe3 2007 looks better AND performs way better than DE, with these settings, pretty sad.


I had to record DE in minimum settings, as I only have a laptop currently available.
