As a long time fan of AOE who eventually started playing StarCraft II, one thing I really came to appreciate is hotkeys. Especially configurable hotkeys (I used something called The Core layout in StarCraft). I grew to love hotkey’d camera locations for extra control. Really hope we can have a similar level of control in AOE:DE.

configurable hotkeys is a must, its totally necessary!
I even edited my hotkeys in original AoE, editing the language.dll file, so many steps to do it tho.

yepp, also don’t forget to include regular hotkeys as well as hotkeys for the individual slots in the ui.
