How can I disable hotkey “Quick Load Scenario”? It is assigned to CTRL+ALT+L (AltGR+L), but it does not appear in the hotkey menus. I’m left-handed and would like to assign something else to this, but I cannot. It looks like it’s hard‑embedded.
And when I play skirmish and i accidently press it, games stops and reports an error that “quickscenario can not be loaded”. I didn’t noticed thi in ranked.
I had the same problem with offline games and Control+F2 changing me from player 1 to player 2. It’s to do with offline only hotkeys not being available for reassignment in the menus. You will need to create a configuration file to override this. Please note that the override happens when you boot up the game, so this won’t work if you edit the file after booting up the game. I will show you how to change control+alt+L to select the dock instead of quick load a scenario
Go to your games folder (Not steamapps, the games folder in your windows user folders)
Open aomRetold, data
Create a .txt called user
Change the file type from .txt to .con (You may need to change your windows view settings to disable "Hide extension for known file types)
Open user.con and paste the following in:
map(“control-alt-L”, “game”, “uiSelectType(“Dock”, true, false, true)”)
Make sure you save the file. Some notepad apps don’t save by using the x to close the app. You need to confirm it is saved.
Test
Once you have confirmed the hotkey no longer does the function you wanted to override, you might want to change Dock to a different item
