How about we make a world map and fight for territories?

Thought about this, we would make a world map (either real world, or made-up world, for the sake of balancing out distances and sizes).

The world would be divided into provinces.

It would be made by painting in some photoshop or even ms paint would do (fill provinces colors with a bucket tool is all we need).

Every civilization would start off with owning some part of the world, colored to their flags in game.

Everyone could “register” to ONE civ, by just writing to an admin (or we could make extra simple web page for it).

Everyone could make ONE attack daily - trying to conquer any province next to their province which they own.
Anyone from the opposing civ could defend it (each player has ONE defend per day max). (the defending civ would have some chat group or something where they decide who takes the defense against which attack, and who makes attack to other civ province).

Each attack is one game - attacker must play for his civ and defender for his civ also. The map is given in advance from the world map which shows which province is which in-game map. If attacker wins, the province is taken, if not, the province is not taken and is locked for the rest of the day against the attacker’s civ. (if english attacks french province and fails, then all english players can’t attack that province for the rest of the day, but other civs still could, once per day also).

And yeah, some more rules would be added to make it work, and amount of provinces would be set according to the amount of players, so everyone can play at least once a day + - (unless that civ is slowly wiped out of the world).

Do you like this idea or no? (no need to point out all the issues that could emerge, but just wanna know if it sounds exciting?)

Sincerely, it’s a great idea.
But at the same time, I don’t expect too much to the efficiency of Relic.

Would only work if microsoft/relic built it into the game

Had kinda the same idea. Could be like a monthly world Conquer map. You can only pick one civ for the month and see who has most of the map by the end. Maybe if a civ has control of a area they get a small advantage.
