Now 22.000 players are in-game, but how many play online?

Around 20% of the playerbase has played 1 MP match. So it is less than that, considering that a lot of people play Online for the first few weeks, and then abandon it for SP matches against the AI.

I have found the following achievement statistic for AOE2 HD:

Well that’s only HD, and said HD is probs the least used version of AoE2 to go online nowadays. Voobly and DE should have a lot more online players.

Yes, but these HD stats include every year between 2013 and 2020.

Voobly existed too during this period while being more popular for MP.

Around 250k players have played online in the last month. I have no idea how many players did play the game in the last month.
