Hi,
I’m working on a tuning mod (LTW) and trying to make an upgrade repeatable / infinite like you described.
Did you ever find a working solution?
If yes, could you briefly explain how you handled the upgrade requirements or state tree?
Thanks!
Hey, if I understand this post correctly, I figured this was all just hardwired in the statetrees. It would be awesome if there was a work-around. Many of the upgrades are 1 time applications. Though you can get creative with obscure mongol improved or campaign ones. But certainly not infinite for “all” of them, but some actually.
SOME of the tech is inherently infinite. e.g. I think the japanese mini-wheelbarrow is infinite and you can just keep re-applying it. ALSO, the torches tech (mongols) is. [e.g. I made it so you could add it 3 times to villagers (like sappers). and called each tech zymurgy, oneology, and distillation because they get drunk and light buildings on fire more.] I think the blacksmith upgrades might be infinite (armor, e.g.).
But for the screenshot above, you could apply different techs to villages to get the affect. Like biology (+30%) applied to villagers, with whatever cost in time/resources you want. Or Piety (+40HP), etc. But you cannot choose the amount of the change. Usually, this won’t hurt the tech when used in its normal way applied to knights for example. But once it is “applied” the state-ref is kaput.
I wonder if there is one for HP? You COULD have completely new tiers of units (like hardened, veteran, elite villagers), but that is a giant pain-in-the-butt.
HOWEVER, I have NO IDEA if there is a way to figure out if it is one-time or infinite… just knowing that would be very helpful.
