How to modify a custom map

I want to know how to modify or make XML and XS files. For example, I want to add First Nations to the custom map, but I can’t find the entry to edit it. How can I edit the custom map file in this format? Thanks in advance.

You can use notepad++ oder the normal editor to open XML and XS files

No, maps are generated randomly/dynamically, so it would be difficult to visualize.
