How to play AI alone

Hi there, not sure if this is a stupid question and I can’t find if this has already been asked and answered.

I just want to play the computer AI by myself, no multiplayer but not the campaigns. Just a random map, say, me v 2-3 AI’s maybe an AI ally. I used to play like this with AOE2, but I can’t seem to figure out how in AOE4.

Any help with the multiplayer menu would be welcome.

And sorry to the person I quit on earlier when I was trying to figure this out.

You click on Singleplayer and then there is a button for “Skirmish” in the top row of the screen. Then there will pop up a new menu where you can click on “create your own game”.

I play the game in German. i just roughly translated the buttons, i dont know the exact wording in english for those buttons :sweat_smile:
